Do I need a referral for OT or SP therapy?

Author:

A common question we hear from parents is: “Do I need a referral before booking an appointment?”
The answer is no you do not need a referral to access Occupational Therapy (OT) or Speech Pathology (SP) services with us.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to contact our clinic directly if they have concerns about their child’s communication, sensory needs, emotional regulation, motor skills, feeding, learning, or development.

Whether you’re looking for support, advice, or simply want to ask a few questions, our team is here to help guide you through the process.

Some families choose to speak with their GP, paediatrician, or educator first, while others reach out directly to a therapist for advice and support. Early support can make a big difference, so it’s okay to ask questions even if you’re unsure whether therapy is needed.

Our waitlist is currently open, and we are accepting new clients for both OT and SP, so if you have been thinking about reaching out now is the time!
